Beyond Printed Materials

Our wealth of DTP experience goes beyond the ability to simply provide a printed technical manual. The design and layout of a manual determines how successful it will be at delivering key information to the end user. Our experience, gained over thirty years in the business, has helped our customers to develop manuals which are user friendly and, more importantly, of value to the users in the workplace.

The availability of free viewers, such as Adobe Acrobat, now brings the ability to deliver technical information at low cost to almost anyone. Our advantage is in understanding how to correctly set up documents prior to conversion, ensuring that the final output functions correctly, whether it is to be used for interactive online delivery, or simply as a stable print platform. The use of hyperlinks and effective indices adds value to a publication, functions which can be automated by our experienced operators.

Many of the tasks tackled in the DTP department are now related to the recovery of legacy information and conversion to electronic formats.

The process of converting existing hard copy into formatted electronic documents is now a much more accurate and efficient task using the advantages that IT can provide. Once the data is electronical captured, the data can then be converted into SGML, XML or HTML.
